Has Makei Been Arrested In Slonim?

The Department for fighting against Economic crimes has carried out detentions of state administrators in Hrodna and Slonim.

According to unofficial information of Radio Racyja, General Director of OJSC Slonim Meat Processing Plant Pavel Makei has been detained by employees of the Department for fighting against Economic crimes in Hrodna region last week.

Pavel Makei has been in charge of the Slonim Meat Processing Plant for only three months. Before he took this position he used to work as deputy director for commercial issues of the Ashmiany Meat Processing Plant.

The fact of the general director’s detention wasn’t confirmed at the Slonim enterprise. Although, these days, the whole collective of the Meat Processing Plant is talking about the fact of the general director’s arrest and about the search, which has been held in his office.

At the same time, according to unofficial information, Aliaksandr Kavetski, the head of the holding company Hrodnamiasamalprom, has been detained in Hrodna, he headed the Slonim Meat Processing Plant three months ago. Journalists cannot give more specific information about the detentions in Hrodna and Slonim, as there is no complete confirmation of these facts.
