The dictator boasted of a "unique experience" of Belarus to overcome consequences of the accident.

According to Lukashenka, the potential for cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine in the area of radiation safety is far from being fully exploited, Radio Svaboda reports.

"Work in overcoming consequences of the disaster was a hint to introduction of innovative methods in agricultural sphere, in the forestry of Belarus. Adaptation based on scientific data, experience of our scientists, Ukrainian ones and scientists from all over the world learned us how to live and work on these lands, which earlier were not suitable for living. We are always ready to share our knowledge with Ukraine in this sphere," Lukashenka stated that during his joint visit with Petro Poroshenko to the Chernobyl NPP.

"Our scientists, health professionals, ecologists-all who work in Belarus and Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of the accident and to preserve the health of people in the affected territories can and should do much more." Ukraine now plans to establish a radiological biosphere reserve in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. We did this a long time ago, you know that; and you, Petro Alekseevich, can count on our work together, using the experience of the Polesie reserve, which locates near this tragic place," the dictator added.
