The “Lukamol” activists intend to pull $2500 out of Brest dwellers.

For the sixth year in a row, the authorities of Brest turn the anniversary of the attack of Hitler's Germany on the Soviet Union into a show. And if earlier everything was for the budget money, now the organizers are forced to seek funding from Brest residents and the Internet, Belsat reports.

Several people have been trying to raise money for the festival "June 22, 1941 - Brest Fortress" at a crowdfunding site for the third week. They plan to get a minimum of $ 2500. So far, they have managed to collect only $ 130.

The ideological inspirer of the project Piotr Pitsko is one of the leaders of Brest city branch of the BRYU, an ardent opponent of everything national, but a strong supporter of the revival of the USSR.

This time, the organizers plan an exhibition of military equipment and a theatrical presentation of heavy equipment, a military reconstruction. Pitsko and the company plan to educate the spirit of "patriotism", but not for Belarus. According to the organizers, their goal is to gather 40,000 people in Brest to create a positive image of the "union state" of Russia and Belarus.
