The opposition took the first joint decision on celebration of the centenary of BPR.

"The organizing committee for celebration of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic decided to hold a festive procession. The event is planned for March 25. It starts at 2 pm, Yakub Kolas Square. Then participants will head Svaboda Square.

A corresponding application will be submitted to the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The meeting was expanded and almost all democratic parties and organizations attended it. The decision on the festive procession is adopted unanimously. And this is the first joint decision after a long period of disputes and mutual accusations, which gives hope for consolidation of the Belarusian democratic movement.

The organizing committee has also adopted an appeal to the leadership of the country to recognize March 25, the day of proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic, a holiday. The national holiday," one of the leaders of the Belarusian National Congress, poet and politician Uladzimir Nyaklyayew wrote on Facebook.

It will be recalled that on January 15, the democratic forces agreed upon a joint celebration of the BPR's centenary. Participants in the meeting adopted the resolution on a mass action on March 25, Minsk. Everyone accepted this date. The celebration of Freedom Day starts at 2 pm, Yakub Kolas Square. Then the march moves along Nezalezhnastsi Avenue to Svaboda Square.
