Homel citizens are going to hold a street rally in support of the independent website.

"In a democratic society, only a madman can come up with an idea to block such a site as Charter 97, or all the people will take to the streets. This resource, I'm sure, is read in almost every family and every house. Holding the rally, we want to draw attention to the savage reprisal against the country's leading Internet resource," – Kazlou, a representative of the independent trade union in the region, said.

We remind that on January 30, representatives of the independent trade union of radio electronic industry workers in Homel Viktar Kazlou and Leanid Sudalenka submitted to the city executive committee an application to hold a street procession in support of the Charter97.org Internet resource on February 17 and discuss problems related to freedom of speech and expression in Belarus.
