In the town of Kamaryn, Brahin district, the animal bit two men.

The message that an animal resembling a wolf attacked a man at the bus station in the Kamaryn town center was received by the police at 6.30 on January 2. The animal bit the villager’s arm and ran away. The records of the video surveillance cameras showed that it really had been a wolf, representative of the internal affairs administration of the Homel regional executive committee Vital Prystromau reported to BelTA.

40 minutes later the police received a report that the animal was wandering around the gas station at the outskirts of the town. The wolf turned a petrol tank upside down, and when a cyclist rode by, the animal threw at him and bit his hand. “The man tried to beat the wolf away. At some moment, the animal retrieved, and the employee of the gas station could let the victim inside. The wolf started scratching the doors, but soon left in an unknown direction,” — Vital Prystromau commented.

Brahin policemen and hunters arrived at the site. They searched the area till late at night, but found no wolf. “At present moment, the hunters are taking measures to neutralize the dangerous animal,” — the official representative of the internal affairs administration noted.

The casualties were rendered the necessary medical assistance and vaccinated against rabies.
