In Minsk, a press-conference of the National Organizing Committee for the celebration of the BPR's 100th anniversary took place, at which the design of the peaceful action on the Freedom Day on March 25 was approved.

At the press-conference of the Organizing Committee for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the BPR the speeches were made by artist, one of the founders of the Pahonia association Ales Marachkin; culture expert and member of the steering committee for the creation of the Belaruskii Rukh party Vaclau Areshka; social activist, head of Art-Siadziba Pavel Belavus and co-chairman of the steering committee for the creation of the "Belarusian Christian Democracy" party Pavel Seviarynets.
Ales Marachkin told how the overall design of the column would look like, and that a large white-red-white flag would be on the festive procession. The artist announced which slogans, posters and streamers would be used to decorate the column. Ales Marachkin urged as many people as possible to bring along the white-red-white flags and take part in the action.

Pavel Belavus reported that "Pahonia", adopted as a symbol of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the BPR, was taken from the seals and documents of the Rada of the Belarusian People's Republic. The public activist presented samples of products that were made to popularize the idea of the anniversary of the BPR: passport covers, magnets, wristwatches and others. Pavel Belavus spoke about how Belarusian entrepreneurs can join the celebration of the BPR's 100th anniversary. The activist suggested that they use the symbols of the BPR in advertising, establish a system of discounts on patriotic products, and produce goods specially designed to honor the 100th anniversary of the BPR.
Pavel Seviarynets spoke about the need and methods of advertising the March 25 action. The politician summed up the intermediate results of the flash mob action "Selfie-independence", which takes place every day. The co-chairman of the BCD told about the quiz "100 questions on the BPR 100th anniversary". The first quiz will be held on February 15 at 6.30 pm at the BPF office, and then quizzes will be held every week.
At the press-conference, the journalists were shown samples of visual products and festive decoration of a peaceful rally on March 25. Symbols for the design of the Freedom Day were approved by the National Organizing Committee for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the BPR.
Important to note, the organizing committee for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic decided to hold a festive procession in Minsk on the occasion of this outstanding date in the history of Belarus.
The action is scheduled for March 25. The participants will gather at 2 p.m. in the Yakub Kolas Square and march along the Independence Avenue to the Svabody Square.
A corresponding application was submitted to the Minsk City Executive Committee.
