Homel residents are going to hold a street rally in support of the independent website.

REP independent trade union lawyer, famous Homel human rights activist Leanid Sudalenka said that to Сharter97.org:

– We expressed our attitude to this event by applying for a street rally in support of the Сharter97.org website. We want to support the independent website whose blocking is a blow to freedom of speech and freedom of expression in Belarus.

Charter-97 is the most widely read and recognized opposition resource in our country. The authorities decided to show that they want to control what the Belarusians are reading. We disagree with this and will protest.

Now I will say as a lawyer: if the Ministry of Information has any complaints about the site, it must justify them legally. It turns out that the officials, by their decision, without any investigation, recognized Charter97.org as an "extremist" site. I was once called an "extremist" as well, was removed from the train. I still have not got a clue how I got on this list and how to get out of it.

Therefore, we applied for a street rally in solidarity with . We will take banners, we will go along the streets of the city and remind Homel residents that there is such a problem in Belarus.

I wish you were unblocked as soon as possible. I continue to read Charter-97 now, there are many opportunities to bypass the blocking: via various programs and anonymizers. I hope you will return to the information field of Belarus soon.
