Russian Military, Which Shelled Mariupol, Arrive In Minsk For Parade

The Russian military will participate in Lukashenka's military parade.

It has been established that a foot born crew of the 275th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment of the 4th Kantemirovka Tank Division of the Russian Armed Forces will participate in the parade in Minsk on July 3, 2019. One of the blackest pages of war crimes committed by members of the 275th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment is the shelling of Mariupol on 24 January 2015. On that day, Russian units attacked Vostochny district of Mariupol with BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers. As a result of this, in fact, terrorist attack, 29 citizens of Ukraine were killed, 92 were injured, and among the dead and wounded - children and teenagers. Residential buildings were damaged, as well as a school, market and shops.

On May 7, 2018, during the briefing, Vasyl Hrytsak, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, presented the materials of the investigation on the entire chain of organizing, coordinating and executing crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine by the personnel of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the coordination of the activities of Russian jet divisions was carried out by Lieutenant Colonel of the Russian Armed Forces Maksim Vlasov, call sign "Ugra", born on 15.02.1980. The Bellingcat researchers found out that Vlasov was the commander of the artillery unit of the 275th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment when the war crime was committed.

In addition to the 275th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment, another unit of the 4th Kantemirovskaya Division, the 2nd Taman Motorized Rifle Division, was bombarding Mariupol. According to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Hrytsak, as a result of the painstaking work carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine, it was possible to document the crossing of the Russian-Ukrainian border by Russian units and the way to the positions of terrorists from which the shelling of Mariupol had been carried out.

"The Russian military units, which not only participated in the military aggression against Ukraine, but also committed a terrorist act, will take part in the parade in the center of the Belarusian capital on July 3. It should be emphasized that this is the personal will and desire of the highest military and political leadership of the country, which has transformed Belarus into a satellite-protectorate of the Russian Federation," - the publication writes.
