If the Brest region was on fire, it would be possible to find logic for such an appointment. But almost everything is now being decided in Minsk. And at this time, Lukashenka is sending a devoted person, who for 8 years headed the special service number 1, to Brest.

And it is not only important that these people are removed and demoted. It is important how the vertical will perceive it. And it will be perceived as a wake-up call about a split and the impossibility of maintaining the monolithic state of power at a critical moment.
