TV Presenters Dudzinski, Kakhno Sentenced To 10-Day Arrest

They were fired from state television this summer for supporting change in Belarus.

Today, the trials of the detained TV presenters were held. Previously, they were fired for their statements in support of the protests.

The judge found Dzmitry Kakhno guilty, sentenced him to 10 days of arrest "for participating in unauthorized mass actions," writes Onliner.

Earlier, Dzianis Dudzinski was also arrested for 10 days "for participating in unauthorized mass actions."

On September 2, showmen and presenters Dzianis Dudzinski and Dzmitry Kakhno were detained in Minsk.

Dzmitry Kakhno, an host of the TV show "Extra Luck" on the ONT channel, was left without air after an emotional post on social networks about the detentions near the Symbal.by store. Later he addressed an open letter to his colleagues who still work on Belarusian television. Theshowman urged those who "cannot sleep normally at night" "to take a step, without scandals and loud statements," that is, to quit. Dzmitry promised that he would personally stand up for each of them.

Dzianis Dudzinski also suffered because of the open expression of his opinion. After Dzianis had published a post about the arrests near the Symbal.by store, it became known that he and his wife Katsiaryna Rayetskaya were suspended from running the Slavonic Bazaar festival. Later it became known that he was fired from BT.
