A serious accident has occurred.

In the best case, by 20 o'clock, specialists will be able to eliminate the accident that occurred at midnight in the building of the long-range rolling shop No. 1 on the territory of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, the website writes naviny.by.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the incident, there was a "flooding of the turbine room with pumps," due to which, the equipment in the long-range rolling shop and electric steelmaking shop No. 1 was stopped (only one of the two steelmaking furnaces was in operation)."

The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who arrived at the enterprise were engaged in pumping water from the turbine room, after which the technical personnel will carry out work on the repair and restart of the equipment.
