Russian Conscripts Killed Commander And Handed Arms To AFU Near Kherson

The officer prevented them from surrendering to the Ukrainian army.

A large group of partially mobilized Russians surrendered to Ukrainian defenders in the Kherson region. All the occupants were transferred to one of the hot spots of the front without training, equipment and with an order to stand to the end.

According to 24 Channel's sources in the Ukrainian security services, the "Chmobiki," whom Russia sent to the war, were not eager to participate in hostilities. Due to the actual coercion and inadequate attitude on the part of the command, the mobilized men decided to surrender.

Before contacting the Ukrainian side, the Russians tried in vain to negotiate with their leadership to withdraw to the second front line, take at least a short young fighter course, and obtain the minimum necessary equipment. Their requests, however, were ignored.

They had to fight without ammunition

The time for a whole group of Russian civilians, mobilized by Putin's order and sent for slaughter, was short in the war zone.

Once on the front lines, their belief in the "greatness of Russia" and support for the war against Ukraine faced the harsh life in the trenches - in the fall and without warm clothes.

Moreover, not all "Chmobiki" were even provided with personal weapons. Some had to share one assault rifle between them.

Almost all the mobilized from the surrendered group had no ammunition. They were simply taken to the front, being promised ammunition.

At the same time, the officers explained to them, without any hint, that they could not go back. Any step from their positions in the direction of the Russian rear - they would be shot by the barrier troops.

To all appearances, however, the mobilized men really did not want to fight and risk their lives. If retreating to the rear meant 100% death for them, they decided to go forward with their hands raised.

"A group of mobilized men, by prior arrangement, went out into the square indicated by our fighters. They had no equipment, so they only gave us their weapons. They received medical assistance, because everyone was sick. They received food and were satisfied. They will go to the camp after interrogations. They'll be safe," the Ukrainian special services told Channel 24.

We had to kill the commander

Interestingly, the occupants made preliminary agreements with the AFU fighters to surrender without the participation of their direct commander. He was also a conscript, but was very afraid of punishment by the Russian special services after the captivity. They said he could be blamed for the peaceful surrender.

Therefore, the soldiers, who wanted to stay alive, had to negotiate secretly. When the right time came, an officer of the lower ranks began to resist and tried to raise hell. His comrades-in-arms killed him and surrendered.
