AFU Took Control Of Important Railway Near Mariupol

It supplies the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson groups of the Russian army.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the help of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and long-range artillery, have established fire control over an important railway, which supplies the Russian group of troops located in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

Oleksiy Arestovych, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the Feygin Live YouTube channel.

He specified that this railway passes just north of the occupied Mariupol.

“So to speak, Ilovaisk - Volnovakha - Tokmak. It supplies the entire Southern group: Zaporizhzhia and Kherson," he added.

Arestovich confirmed the information published on Saturday by Russian Telegram channels that the Russian army went on the offensive in the area of Vuhledar.

The enemy infantry began attempts to move after air and artillery strikes, but had no success so far.

According to Arestovich, the attempts of the Russian troops to advance on this sector of the front are explained by the enemy's intention to move the front line away from the above-mentioned railway.
