Over 500 Mobilized Russians Liquidated Near Svatove By AFU, Commanders Fled

Two battalions of the Russian army were defeated at one and the same point.

Near the village of Makiivka, Svatove district, Luhansk region, the AFU fighters defeated a whole battalion of mobilized Russians. Of the 570 invaders, only 29 survived.

This is reported by the Russian publication Vyorstka with a reference to the surviving Russian military and relatives of the mobilized.

According to the surviving Russian military man Alexei Agafonov, the mobilized were trained in the military unit #2079. The battalion commander promised the Russians that they would be brought to the Svatove region, where they were to join the so-called “territorial defense” 15 kilometers from the front line. However, on the night of November 2, the entire battalion was taken to the line of contact.

“We were thrown into landings, they told us to dig in, we had three shovels per battalion, there was no provision at all. We dug in as best we could, and in the morning shelling began — artillery, Grads, mortars, copters, we were simply shot. When it all started, the officers immediately ran away. In between shelling, we tried to dig in, but the copters immediately spotted us and simply shot us. Of the 570 people, as many as 29, or 12 more were injured, the rest are dead,” said Agafonov.

Agafonov also added that before that, at least one more battalion from the mobilized soldiers had been defeated in the same positions.

“On TV they show a rosy picture, but in fact here in the Luhansk region it is the mobilized who are thrown to the front, and when we were leaving from there without seeing the officers, we were already walking back, we saw that only contract soldiers and volunteers were sitting on the third line, and the mobilized were on the front end,” he said.

It is noted that the wife of one of the mobilized, Zlata, told the publication about hundreds of dead invaders. “Surely more than a half of them are dead,” she said.

In addition, the information was confirmed by the wife of another mobilized survivor, Lyudmila Chernykh.

“He called me in the morning from someone else’s phone, and told me what happened, that they were left to dig the defense line, they were covered by mortar fire, and they somehow got from Krasnodon to Svatove, where they are now hiding. They are now afraid to go somewhere, they are even afraid to go out to checkpoints. The commanders have abandoned them, and they don’t know what to do, they just plead for help,” she confessed.
