Piontkovsky Reveals Putin's New Crazy Plan In Ukraine

The Russian Federation may stage a provocation at the seized Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The Russian dictator Putin, realizing that Russia cannot use nuclear weapons because of threats from the West, may plan a provocation at the seized Zaporizhzhia NPP.

This opinion was voiced by Russian publicist and political analyst Andrei Piontkovsky on Channel 24.

Expert says the dictator wants to blame Ukraine for the nuclear provocation at the nuclear plant. Such things are already traditional for the Russian Federation.

"Putin plans to blow up the Zaporizhzhia NPP and blame Ukraine. To use the trick he did with the POW camp. And the same trick that helped him to come to power", the publicist says.

He recalls that before Putin came to power, he had organized the bombings of residential buildings and blamed Chechens and unleashed the war. Piontkovsky calls the provocations at the nuclear power plant the most dangerous thing the Kremlin can resort to now. Hence, he calls on the diplomats to step up and let the representatives of the IAEA inspect the plant.

Meanwhile, the expert assesses the threat of a nuclear strike as low. According to Piontkovsky, Putin's inability to do that is encouraging him to set provocations at the plant.

"His impotent rage, the inability to strike Ukraine or Europe with impunity can spur him on to such a provocation - to set off an explosion at the ZNPP, blaming Ukraine," he commented.

Let us recall that on August 5, the Russian invaders shelled the Zaporizhzhia NPP four times. In particular, they hit a high-voltage communication line. It was damaged. An emergency protection system went off at one of the power units. Now, this unit is unloaded and disconnected from the power grid.

After the occupiers shelled the Zaporizhzhia NPP, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on countries to impose tough sanctions against the entire Russian nuclear industry.
