'Connection Lost': Russia Confirms Encirclement Of Samara And Bashkir SOBR In Balakleya

The Ukrainian armyis conducting an offensive in two directions at once in the Kharkiv region.

The Kremlin propagandist Yuri Kotenok, known in the circles of supporters of Russian aggression against Ukraine, confirmed that the Samara and Bashkir SOBR, located in Balakleya, was encircled by the AFU, the AFU Stratcom reports.

According to him, it is now impossible to contact the occupiers, which may indicate that they have been destroyed or captured.

"I confirm the encirclement of combined detachments of the Samara and Bashkir SOBR in the city limits of Balakleya. Yesterday, there was communication with the guys, today there is no," Kotenok wrote on Wednesday, September 7, on his Telegram channel.

In addition, he says that the Ukrainian army in the Kharkiv region is carrying out an offensive in two directions at once - on Kupyansk and Izyum.

"The advance on Izyum poses not only a threat to the headquarters of the RF Armed Forces grouping in this direction but also an exit to the rear of our troops in the Slavyansk direction. That is why the enemy is trying to gas up here," the propagandist added.

At the same time, the AFU General Staff has not yet officially commented on the reports of fighting for Balakleya.
