People Screaming Under Debris: Russia Strikes Iskander Missile At Residential Building In Kramatorsk

Three people died and many were wounded.

On the night of February 2, Russian troops struck Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, with an Iskander-K missile.

The police of Donetsk Oblast reported this. The latest reports say that the strike damaged at least eight apartment buildings; one of them was completely destroyed. Preliminary reports indicate that three civilians died and twenty more were wounded.

"The enemy attack occurred at 9:45 p.m. A search and rescue operation is now underway. Police are documenting the consequences of the Russian war crime. Eleven investigative teams, bomb technicians, dog handlers, medical personnel, police patrol officers and other units are working at the scene," the report said.

Local Telegram channels publish horrifying photos. The footage shows a Russian missile hitting an apartment building. The hit destroyed two entrances. It is also reported that people are screaming under the rubble. Residents of the damaged houses are evacuated to a shelter.

During the broadcast of the TV marathon, the head of the Donetsk OVA Pavel Kirilenko clarified the number of victims. He said the number of victims was lower than previously reported.

"As of now, two people have died. It was earlier reported that three people died, but, so far, I can definitely confirm two people. The third person was in a helpless state. He was resuscitated, sent to Dnipro. One does everything possible to save this person's life. Eight people were injured, two in critical condition. Their condition has been stabilized. People have also been transferred to a neighboring region. ... 21 people in total sought medical help", he said.

Kirilenko also clarified that the scale of destruction had not yet been determined. Preliminarily, part of the house survived the attack.

"One entrance of the house is completely destroyed; the other two entrances are intact, if I may say so... Windows are broken; the roof and entrances are damaged. Eight houses next to this one were also damaged, windows and doors shattered, roofs destroyed. The inspection will be held in the morning," Kirilenko said.
