Lukashenka's Pool Chief Will Appear Before Court

Dzmitry Semchanka quit the ONT state TV channel in 2020.

The court proceeding against former ONT employee and head of the "Presidential Pool" Dzmitry Semchanka begins in Minsk, according to BelTA.

He is charged under the article for inciting hatred (part 1 of article 130 of the Criminal Code). This is how the Prosecutor General's Office regarded his messages on Telegram channels.

Mr Semchanka quit ONT in 2020. After that, he worked as a Press Secretary at the Belagro company. Dzmitry Semchanka was detained on September 15 last year. He fell under two administrative arrests on petty hooliganism and dissemination of "extremist" information. He was never released after his arrest.

Dzmitry Semchanka has been recognized as a political prisoner.
