Putin surrendered the country in exchange for an Asian "roof".
The resounding visit of Chinese leader Xi Jinping to Moscow marked the beginning of a new period in Russian history. The country is turning into a vassal of its eastern neighbor.
Famous oppositionist Mikhail Khodorkovsky warned Russians about this. His video message was published on the official channel on Telegram.
In his words, Putin, who was losing the war, needed help to stay in power. And for that, he effectively "sold" his country to China.
"Putin realized that he needed, in gangster terminology, a 'roof'. Now he is forced to get this "roof" in China. This may be a momentary situation, which collapses when Putin leaves. And... it might become another Tatar-Mongol yoke... The power in Russia will be derived from China's power," Khodorkovsky said.
