European Commission Demands Germany To Stop Importing Oil Through Belarus

As part of anti-Russian sanctions.

The European Commission has prepared a draft document that contains Germany's obligations to refuse oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline as part of further anti-Russian sanctions. This is reported by the publication EUobserver.

As journalists managed to find out, Poland was able to secure a promise from Germany that it would not purchase oil through the Druzhba pipeline.

The temporary exemption for Germany relating to the supply of crude oil by pipeline from Russia through the northern section of the Druzhba oil pipeline must cease,” the EC draft document says.

At the same time, the European Commission makes an exception for countries such as Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia — they can continue purchasing oil through the Druzhba pipeline.

Earlier it was reported that in April Germany received 50,000 tons of Kazakh oil through the Druzhba pipeline.
