Budanov: Evidence Indicates That Russia Knew AFU Offensive Plans

The head of the GUR spoke about the measures taken.

Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the GUR (Ukrainian Defence Intelligence), confirmed that the Russians knew about the plans for the offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Budanov said this in an interview with CBC News.

“I'm not going to say more than the president. According to our information and evidence, the plans became known to the Russian Federation. This is a serious problem, and we are taking certain measures," he said.

Recall, during a press conference on February 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the plan of counteroffensive of Ukraine in 2023 was known to the Russians even before it began.
