Tanker Truck With Propane Overturns Into Ditch In Bykhau District

The place of possible gas leakage is under control.

A truck with gas flew into a ditch and overturned in Bykhov district, reported the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The accident, which occurred in the morning on March 14, was reported to the rescuers by eyewitnesses. EMERCOM workers found out that a tanker truck, carrying 20 tonnes of liquefied propane, drove into a ditch near the village of Dubrova, overturned on the left side and crashed into a tree. The 50-year-old driver who was driving the vehicle left it by himself. He was not injured in the accident.

Rescuers isolated the site of a possible gas leak with air-mechanical foam and cordoned off the accident scene.

"The trucking company is planning to perform pumping of propane into another tanker truck today. Rescuers will make sure this is done safely. Then they will put the truck on wheels," the Emergencies Ministry said.
