On March 21, a former Belarusian volunteer “Tuz” tragically died near Vilnius, reported the volunteer association of Belarusians in Lithuania “Lićviny”. Information about his death is confirmed by Radio Svaboda sources.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy. The volunteer's name and surname are not disclosed for security reasons.

“Tuz” came to the war in Ukraine back in March 2022. He took part in hostilities in the south of Ukraine as part of the Belarusian “Terror” battalion. At the end of 2022 he retired from service. In September 2023, he returned to the front and fought in the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade.

“Tuz” returned to Vilnius from the front at the end of February 2024. According to Nasha Niva, he was hit by a train near Vilnius yesterday.
