Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a Typhoon-K armoured vehicle worth about $2.5 million in Donetsk region.

Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsya operational-strategic group of troops, reported this to ArmyInform.

‘One Typhoon-K armoured vehicle which they were trying to storm with was destroyed,’ said the representative of the Khortytsya OSGT.

This happened on June 3, 2024.

In total, over the past day the Ukrainian defenders destroyed 80 occupants in the direction of Chasiv Yar, 123 Russians were wounded.

What is Known about the Russian Typhoon-K Armoured Vehicle?

KAMAZ-63968 ‘Typhoon-K’ is a universal armoured vehicle of increased protection. It is stated that the vehicle corresponds to MRAP type vehicles.

The armoured vehicle has been in service with the Russian Army since 2015. The armour of the 4th class should protect against bullets of 14.5 mm calibre, the hull should withstand the detonation of explosive devices with a capacity of up to 8 kg of TNT equivalent.

The vehicle can accommodate three crew members and 14 soldiers at a time. The vehicle is part of the Typhoon family of armoured vehicles
