'Lukashenka Is Afraid To Tell The Truth'

What is behind Minsk's verbal assaults against Ukraine?

Lukashenka seems to be looking again for "where the attack is coming from" on Belarus. The head of the security programs of the Center for Global Studies "Strategy XXI" Pavel Lakiychuk on the air of "Channel 24" analyzed the actions of the Belarusian dictator.

The Ministry of Defence of Belarus reported the deployment of a battalion of multiple launch rocket systems Polonez on the border with Ukraine. This decision, the department said, was taken as a response to the "difficult situation" on the border.

Moreover, the deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus said that Ukraine was allegedly pulling weapons and troops to the border to "draw Belarus into the war". Ukrainian border guards explained that all activities on the border with Belarus are aimed at protecting the state, and are not an attempt to seize foreign territories.

It should be added that this is happening against the background of a sudden inspection of troops in Belarus.

"Lukashenka needs to explain to his people why for the third year in a row the armed forces of Belarus are on high alert and constantly conduct exercises. They are continuous. To put it mildly, this is a non-standard situation. Lukashenka does not want to tell the truth why this is happening, so he is forced to come up with reasons that the Ukrainians are to blame for everything," Pavel Lakiychuk explained.

Perhaps some Belarusians really believe in the fables of Lukashenka or Putin that Russia did not attack Ukraine, but only reflects the "aggression of Ukraine". Of course, the majority of the Belarusian people do not support the Russian invasion and they understand what is really happening.
