'New Front May Be Opened From Side Of Belarus'

Ex-commander of the Israeli special forces urged not to believe Lukashenka.

The threat from Belarus to Ukraine is quite real, given that Lukashenka is subordinate to Putin, while China is Russia's ally, said ex-commander of the Israeli special forces Denis Desyatnik.

A journalist of the "Now" channel asked the military officer what is the probability that there could be an attack on Ukraine by Belarus against the background of military exercises with China.

"It is clear from the fact that there are common exercises between China and Belarus that China supports Russia, and there is always a threat from Belarus as well. This threat is not going anywhere: it has been present for Ukraine since the first days of the war. It is just necessary to strengthen the borders so that another front does not open up at the moment."

"Such a threat exists. We know that China is a supporter of Russia, and Belarus is going along with Russia. What Russia says is "holy" for them: the government of Belarus fulfils it, although the citizens themselves are against this war," stressed Desyatnik.

Then the ex-special forces commander explained why Lukashenka ordered to withdraw his troops from the border with Ukraine:

"Like I said, there is a threat. The fact that Lukashenka says one thing and then another is not new. He has been opposing the war and supporting Russia throughout the war. I think that if he gets an order from Putin, another front may open up from Belarus".
