Putin Conducted "nuclear Drills"

The Kremlin announced the testing of Yars and Sineva intercontinental missiles.

On October 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) "Yars" and "Sineva" from the Plesetsk cosmodrome during nuclear "training." It is noted that the launches were carried out as part of the "planned training of strategic nuclear forces".

In particular, a Yars missile was launched from Plesetsk at the Kura test site in Kamchatka. And from the waters of the Barents Sea from the nuclear missile submarine cruiser Bryansk, according to Moscow, the ballistic missile "Sineva" was launched.

The demonstration also involved Tu-95MS long-range aviation planes, which carried out launches of air-launched cruise missiles.

Propagandists write that Putin watched the "scheduled training".

The Sineva missile (R-29RMU2) is a 3rd generation submarine-launched ballistic missile. It was adopted into service with Russian forces on July 9, 2007. Its declared maximum range, according to information from open sources, is up to 11,000 km.

The PC-24 missile of the Yars complex is a solid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile of mobile and silo-based design. It was first tested in 2007 and deployed for use in 2009. As stated by the aggressor country, the complex can hit targets at a range of up to 10,000 kilometers.

It should be noted that the nuclear escalation on the part of the Kremlin is taking place against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump's refusal to meet with Putin in Budapest.
