US President Donald Trump announced a significant reduction in the purchase of Russian oil by China. At the same time, India will stop purchases completely.

This is stated in broadcast from the White House.

While speaking to the press, Trump was asked whether he plans to discuss with Chinese President Xi Jinping - purchases of Russian oil. Specifically, whether the American leader is concerned that China is buying oil from Russia.

In response, the White House chief said the following:

"I will probably discuss it. But you know, what China is doing... I don't know, you probably saw today - China is significantly reducing its purchases of Russian oil, and India is cutting back completely. And we've already imposed sanctions," Trump said.

We will recall that on the night of October 23, the US Finance Ministry announced the imposition of sanctions against the largest Russian oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil. Thirty-six subsidiaries were also placed under restrictions.
