The first satellite images of the Belgorod reservoir dam in the Russian Federation after the Ukrainian strikes have shown the serious consequences and flooding of significant areas already in the first day after the damage to the locks.

The images, which were posted by the Ukrainian OSINT channel Exilenova_plus, showed the scale of flooding of areas downstream of the reservoir. It can be seen that significant areas downstream of the Seversky Donets River have already been flooded. Water continues to flow out, and gradually the flooded area is expanding.

We would like to recall that the AFU's Unmanned Systems Forces struck the dam of the Belgorod Reservoir on the morning of October 26. After several strikes, the dam's sluices were critically damaged and water began to flow out uncontrollably. According to estimates, the reservoir shallowed by 1 meter during the day.
