Vilnius has responded to a weather probe strike.
Vilnius airport resumed operations at 4.30 local time (5.30 Belarusian time), reports its press service. Checkpoints on the border between Lithuania and Belarus, previously closed for an indefinite period of time, are still not working.
Reminder, air traffic at Vilnius airport was temporarily suspended at 21.42 Lithuanian time (22.42 Belarusian time) on October 26, due to balloons that arrived from Belarus.
After that, from about 22.10 (23.10 Belarusian time), the work of all checkpoints on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border was suspended.
Border checkpoints with Belarus will be closed indefinitely, the Lithuanian National Crisis Management Center said. The agency specifies that October 27, the National Security Commission of Lithuania will discuss the possibility of long-term closure of the border with our country.
