Drone Attack: Explosions Occurred Near The Oil Pipeline Leading To The Novopolsk Refinery

Eyewitnesses report a blaze of fire.

Russia has come under drone attack. On the night of October 29, explosions were heard in the republic of Mari El, locals reported. Eyewitnesses recorded a firebrand. Russian Telegram channel ASTRA geolocated the footage and reported that it was the urban-type settlement of Orshanka. The report wrote that it was unknown what exactly was attacked.

Otherwise, Telegram channel Supernova+ wrote that drones hit the Mari oil refinery in the Orsha district.

"The plant is located near the Surgut-Polotsk main oil pipeline. The refinery has two AVT units and is capable of processing more than 1.6 million tons of oil per year. The range of oil products produced includes: stable gasoline, motor fuel, marine fuel, vacuum-gasoil, fuel oil, raw materials for bitumen," the report reads.

It should be noted that the Surgut-Polotsk oil pipeline delivers oil to Naftan in Novopolotsk.
