A Republican Congressman Harshly Criticized The Trump Administration

Don Bacon spoke out about the so-called peace plan.

Congressman Don Bacon Republican of Nebraska) said he is "strongly" opposed to the Trump administration negotiating with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.

He wrote about it on his social media page X.

"I strongly disagree with the administration's negotiating with the Russians and not the Ukrainians, and their plan to demand that Ukrainians accept the agreement as a 'fait accompli.' Not involving the Europeans is foolish. The US did the same thing with South Vietnam and the government of Afghanistan. This is reminiscent of Munich 1938," the congressman noted.

The Hill writes that Bacon's message came in response to another post by Politico's Dasha Burns, in which she wrote that, according to a White House official, a peace agreement in the war between Russia and Ukraine could be concluded "as early as this week."
