The next steps of the EU countries have been named.
The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen reported a telephone conversation with President Vladimir Zelensky. The parties talked about the current situation on the war, as well as further plans of the EU.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the post in X of the head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen.
She said that from day one Europe has stood by Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
"We are working for a just and sustainable peace with and for Ukraine together with our friends and partners. Today we discussed the current situation and we clearly recognize that there should be nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine," the European Commission chief wrote.
Von der Leyen also added that the next steps for European leaders would be for them to meet tomorrow on the margins of the G20 and then in Angola for the EU-AC summit.
It is known that the day before, Vladimir Zelensky spoke by phone with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The parties discussed the U.S. peace plan for Ukraine, according to which Kiev would be forced to give up its territories in eastern Russia, reduce the size of the army and more.
At the same time, it is known that the leaders of European Union countries are urgently developing their own plan to end the war in Ukraine, which should be more favorable for Kiev.
