"Trumpist" Boris Johnson Trashed The U.S. "peace Plan"

Britain's former prime minister said the U.S. government was incompetent.

Given the strategic situation in the war, the American proposal can only be explained by the incompetence of the US leadership. In an op-ed for the Daily Mail, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson writes about this.

Johnson notes that in four years of war, Russia has lost more than a million soldiers dead and wounded, but has never been able to take substantially more than the 20% of Ukraine it controlled at the start of the war. He also mentions the crisis in the Russian economy. And against the backdrop of this situation, the US is rolling out a "peace plan" that seems to have been originally written in the Kremlin, the politician said.

"This is ridiculous. The so-called peace plan envisions the military castration of Ukraine. It demands a Russian veto over Ukraine's NATO membership and Russian control over the admission of any foreign troops to Ukrainian territory. The document proposes that the Ukrainians not only give up any attempt to take back Crimea or Donbass, but also hand over huge swathes of territory that the Russians don't even control, including some 250,000 Ukrainian civilians," Johnson is outraged.

The former British head of government, who has been very complimentary of Trump in the past, now calls his decision a "complete betrayal of Ukraine" that is "impossible to believe."
