Negotiations In Switzerland: Zelensky Reveals First Details

The Ukrainian president said that the country needs real peace.

Teams from Ukraine and the United States, as well as teams from European partners are now in close contact in Geneva. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in Telegram.

"At this time, teams are meeting in Switzerland to work on steps to end the war. It's good that diplomacy is activated and that the conversation can be constructive. Ukrainian and American teams, teams of our European partners - in close contact, and I very much hope that there will be a result," Zelensky emphasized.

The Ukrainian president noted that it is necessary to stop the bloodshed and guarantee that the war will not be ignited again.

"I am waiting for the outcome of today's conversations, I expect that all participants will be constructive. We need a positive result for all of us," Zelensky added.

The Ukrainian president specified that short reports of the Ukrainian team on the results of the first meetings and conversations have already taken place.

"Now there is an understanding that the American proposals can take into account a number of elements that are based on the Ukrainian vision and are critical for Ukraine's national interests. Further work is ongoing to ensure that all elements are truly effective to achieve the main goal our people are hoping for - to finally put an end to bloodshed and war," Zelensky emphasized.
