Namibia's Adolf Hitler Wins Regional Elections

He was re-elected for a fifth term.

Councillor of the Ompunja electoral district in Namibia Adolph Hitler Uunona has won the regional election, re-elected for a fifth term. The Euronews television channel reported this on November 27.

"Adolf Hitler Uunona, 59, has represented the Ompunja constituency since 2004 as a member of the South West African People's Organization. Although the Namibian Electoral Commission has yet to release the official results of the vote count, according to numerous reports, Uunona won by a large margin," the publication said.

Uuona recently applied to change his surname to remove Hitler from it.

"As a child, I thought the name was perfectly normal. Only as I grew up did I realize: this man wanted to enslave the whole world. I had nothing to do with any of this," the politician said.

Namibia's regional elections were held on November 26.

Namibia's Hitler won the local elections and became the head of Oshana County in 2020. 85% of residents voted for him. The politician was nominated from the ruling SWAPO (South West African People's Organization) party. Even at the beginning of his career, the man noted that the name was chosen for him by his father, who probably did not really understand the world role of the leader of the Third Reich.
