A Movie About Andrei Sannikov Is Now Available On YouTube

It can be viewed on the "Belsat DOC" channel.

"This Kind Of Hope," a documentary about Belarus whose main character is the leader of the "European Belarus" Andrei Sannikov civic campaign, is now available to watch on YouTube channel of Belsat DOC.

The film premiered on January 21, 2023 in Solothurn, Switzerland at the prestigious 58th Swiss Film Festival. The film was directed by Pavel Sichek.

The Polish-Swiss director documented Andrei Sannikov's life for almost a decade, creating a film portrait of one of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition.

Through Andrei Sannikov's life, the film showed the main moments of the history of independent Belarus - the collapse of the USSR, the first independent steps of the young state, the process of nuclear disarmament, which he led, Lukashenko's rise to power, the establishment of dictatorship, the resistance, Square 2010 and the revolution in 2020.

The film was also screened at festivals in Locarno, Munich, Warsaw.
