Analysts have revealed the real rate of advancement of Russians.
Over the past few weeks, officials of the aggressor country Russia have been exaggerating the "victories" of their occupation troops on the battlefield. Their efforts are aimed at creating the false impression that the front line is crumbling and pushing the West and Ukraine to capitulate to the Kremlin's demands. This is according to a new report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
According to analysts, the front line in Ukraine is not threatening an imminent collapse.
"The Kremlin is trying to use these statements to portray a Russian military victory in Ukraine as inevitable so that the West will stop supporting Ukraine and push it to capitulate to Russia's demands. The situation on the battlefield is serious in several sections of the front line, but the front lines are far from collapse," the report said.
It is noted that Russian forces have been unable to secure tactically significant gains in more than a few sections of the battlefield at a time.
"The Russians have been able to achieve tactically significant gains in certain sections of the front line, largely due to months of efforts to achieve a partial air cover effect and weaken Ukraine's defenses In the remaining 10 directions, the occupiers have captured 964.01 square kilometers this year, which is only about 21% of the total advance.
"The Kremlin continues its systematic cognitive warfare efforts to amplify Russian advances through exaggerated claims of gains and infiltration missions, attempting to portray them as large-scale advances by a broad front to falsely portray the front line as crumbling across the theater of operations, contrary to all available evidence," ISW concluded.
