They cited a lack of information.

Ukrainian media drew attention to the press conference of released Belarusian political prisoners, which was held on December 14. The media emphasized that the freed Belarusian political prisoners refused to talk about their attitude to Russia's war against Ukraine, citing a lack of information.

The press conference of Viktor Babariko, Maria Kolesnikova, Vladimir Labkovich and Alexander Feduta was held in Chernihiv:

- "In the conditions we were in, access to information was extremely limited. We received information only from the Belarusian state media - I am not saying now whether it was true or not, but it was one-sided. Therefore, it's pointless to comment and make assessments, knowing the position of only one side," said banker Viktor Babariko, who was not allowed to run for president of Belarus in 2020.

Chairman of his headquarters Maria Kolesnikova said she sympathized and shared "the losses of Ukraine, the losses of Russia and everyone who suffers here." Also among those she thanked for her release was "Alexander Grigorievich."

None of the four participants in the event expressed direct support for Belarusian volunteers fighting in Ukraine, on average citing that "war is bad."
