AFU Halts Another Russian Oil Refinery

It is among the top 5 largest in the Russian Federation.

The Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YANOS) oil refinery, which came under drone attack on Friday, has halted fuel production, Reuters reported, citing industry sources.

According to the agency's interlocutors, which is located 250 kilometers from Moscow and is among the top 5 largest in Russia, the fire damaged the AVT-4 unit, which provides a third of its capacity. The oil loading rack was also damaged.

We recall that the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YANOS) on December 12. According to the AFU General Staff, it is one of the occupiers' largest refineries, which is capable of processing 15 million tons of oil and oil condensate per year. It is involved in supplying the armed forces of the Russian invaders.
