Maduro's regime is completely surrounded.
US President Donald Trump said he is ordering a complete blockade for all sub-sanctioned oil tankers heading to or leaving Venezuela's waters.
This was reported by Bloomberg, citing Trump's post on Truth Social.
"Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest armada ever assembled in the history of South America. It will only grow and it will be an unprecedented shock to them," Trump wrote.
He said this will continue until Venezuela returns to the US "all the oil, land and other assets they previously stole from us."
The US president also said the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has been declared a "foreign terrorist organization."
He accused Maduro's illegitimate regime of "using oil from stolen fields to finance itself, narco-terrorism, human trafficking, murder and kidnapping."
"Today I am ordering a complete blockade of all under-sanctioned oil tankers traveling to and from Venezuela.... America will not allow criminals, terrorists, or other countries to rob, threaten, or harm our country, and likewise will not allow a hostile regime to take our oil, land, or any other assets that must be returned to the United States immediately," Trump summarized.
It is worth adding that a few hours before this post, the US leader announced that he will address the nation tomorrow at 9 p.m. (5 a.m. Minsk time). What exactly Trump is going to say is still unknown.
