Air Alert In Eastern Poland: Information From The Country's Armed Forces Has Emerged

The Polish military said that the operation near the border with Ukraine has been completed. Earlier, Poland took to the skies because of the activity of Russian drones on the Ukrainian border.

"There is no threat at the moment," said Lieutenant Colonel Jacek Goryszewski, spokesman for the Operational Command of the Armed Forces. He added that the military had a suspicion that there might have been a violation of airspace, but this information was being verified.

"The flights of Polish and allied aircraft in our airspace have been completed. The engaged ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have returned to standard operational activities. The Polish army continues to continuously monitor the situation on the territory of Ukraine and remains in constant readiness to ensure the safety of Polish airspace," the army said in a statement.

The Polish military's actions were linked to the events in Ukraine's Volyn region, which borders Poland.

It should be noted that in eastern Poland air alert sirens were switched on.
