Ukrainian SDF And Russian Guerrillas Put Ilsk Refinery Out Of Operation: What Is Known

The main facility of the plant was completely destroyed.

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces took out the Ilsk oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. The operation was carried out in cooperation with Russian guerrillas.

- On the night of September 7, the Special Operations Forces in cooperation with the resistance center in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation "Black Spark" carried out special actions at the oil refinery - Ilya refinery named after A. A. Shamar, - said in the message of the SDF of Ukraine in its Telegram channel.

At about 02:00 thanks to the planned actions of the SDF and Russian guerrillas, the main facility that ensures the functioning of the refinery - the processing unit ELOU-AT-6 - was completely destroyed.

- ELOU-AT-6 is a primary oil processing complex with a capacity of 6 million tons of crude oil per year. This unit dehydrates and desalts crude oil and then distills it into fractions to produce various petroleum products, such as gasoline and diesel fuel," the CCO explained.

- Thus, the Russian refinery is completely out of service and will not be able to operate until the unit is repaired.
