MINI Has Turned The Countryman Into An SUV With A Raised Suspension

The car now has new off-road capabilities.
MINI has unveiled the 2027 Countryman Untamed Edition—a version of the crossover featuring raised suspension, off-road tires, and all-wheel drive. In the U.S., the model will be available with both gasoline and electric powertrains.

The new MINI Countryman Untamed Edition is designed for off-road driving. The car features a 15-millimeter suspension lift, and new wheels and tires have increased ground clearance by up to 19 mm, depending on the powertrain.
The crossover comes equipped with 19-inch wheels and Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus off-road tires. Engineers have also recalibrated the ABS, stability control, steering, and chassis to account for the new suspension and tires. The increased ground clearance has improved approach and departure angles.
The Untamed Edition also includes ALL4 all-wheel drive, a trailer hitch, and a towing capacity of up to 1.59 metric tons. The maximum static roof load is approximately 300 kg.
Externally, the vehicle features a new radiator grille with dark trim, redesigned front and rear body protection, and a new diffuser. A matte protective film has been applied to the wheel arches, side sills, and hood to protect the body from stone chips.
Special body colors have been developed for this model, including Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue, and Frozen Nomad Blue. The latter is the first matte body finish that MINI has offered for a production model.
The interior features Vescin Nightshade Blue sport seats with perforated upholstery and knitted accents. Their pattern resembles the texture of rock formations. The car also features blue stitching, new trim on the dashboard and doors, and all-weather rubber floor mats.
For added convenience, the car features an additional organizer in the center console with elastic straps inspired by camping gear. MINI has also developed accessories for outdoor activities, including a rooftop tent created in collaboration with the Italian company AutoHome, as well as folding chairs and tables from Helinox.
In the U.S., the Untamed Edition will be available in two versions—the gasoline-powered Countryman S ALL4 and the electric Countryman SE ALL4. Production will begin in November 2026, and the first deliveries to customers are expected in early 2027.
The price of the gasoline-powered Countryman S ALL4 Untamed Edition in the U.S. will be $45,250. The price of the electric SE ALL4 Untamed Edition MINI will be announced closer to the start of sales.
