Ukrainian Intelligence Has Obtained Secret Documents On Russian Losses

Ukrainian intelligence received key documents with Russia's assessment of its own losses on the battlefield. In particular, a change in the ratio of killed and wounded has been recorded: out of 100% losses - 62% killed and 38% wounded.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this following a report by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oleh Ivashchenko.

According to the Ukrainian head of state, the intelligence service is thoroughly analyzing the available data on the Russian leadership's intentions to take advantage of the situation around Iran and possible delay of the US military operation.

"In fact, this is now Russia's main calculation - to increase the risks of a long war in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region in order to weaken the international community's pressure for the war against Ukraine, to get out from under the partners' sanctions and to get additional resources due to fluctuations in oil and gas prices," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president added that Kiev has information about Russia's intention to seek a complete lifting of sanctions in the energy sector. Ukraine is already developing countermeasures and will inform its partners.

In addition, Zelensky emphasized that he instructed the intelligence agency to work more actively on Russia's military production in order to limit the potential for Russian aggression despite global geopolitical challenges.

"The Russians themselves in closed official reports estimate their irrecoverable losses at 1.315 million people - killed and seriously wounded. There are reasons to believe that these data are understated," the president noted.
