Lithuanian Border Guards Found A Tunnel On The Border With Belarus

Thirty-eight illegal aliens have been apprehended.

Lithuanian border guards have discovered a new dig at the border with Belarus, through which 38 migrants - 36 men and two women - illegally entered the country. The detainees said they were citizens of Afghanistan and Iran.

The incident took place on Monday evening in the area of Šalčininkai. The violators were found by the border guards with the support of cinematologists, helicopter and drones.

A decision was made to deport all the detainees back to Belarus.

This is not the first case of detecting digging on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border: border guards found similar tunnels on April 6 and May 6.
