Media: Kadyrov's Son, Who Beat Up A Russian, Has Started Production Of "poison"
Adam Kadyrov

Kadyrov Sr. had previously been adamantly opposed to the drink.

A company linked to the third son of Chechnya's head Adam Kadyrov has launched in the republic sales of an energy drink that Kadyrov Sr. previously called "poison," "Verstka" has drawn attention. We are talking about a drink under the brand "K13", which, as "Kavkazsky Uzel" notes, "is reserved for people related to Adam Kadyrov." The Chechen leader's son became widely known after a video appeared in the fall of 2023 showing him, when he was 15 years old, beating Russian Nikita Zhuravel, who had been detained for publicly burning the Koran, in the Grozny pre-trial detention center.

The Kadyrovs' nominee will be in charge of the production and sale of the new energy drink, which copies the appearance of the Monster brand of drinks, the journalists found out. According to their data, an application for registration of the product's trademark was filed in March by United Company, established a month earlier. The firm is registered to Islam Visaliyev, identified in the leaks as an official of the republic's Grozny district. In April, he also established the eponymous "K-13" - the firm is listed on the energy official's website. Both companies can both make and sell drinks. Ramzan Kadyrov was also involved in advertising the new product, and last week he tasted the "shaitan drink" on video.

The trial took place during the opening of the Vkusdom hypermarket in Grozny. A video from there shows the head of Chechnya drinking "K-13" and Chechen Prime Minister Magomed Daudov saying it is "the best energy drink." Adam Kadyrov posted an advertisement for the drink in Instagram stories: brand logos are pasted on a drifting BMW, and DUSTUM (the Chechen head's son's call sign) can be seen in the car's interior. "Verstka" notes that "K13" is the personal brand of 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov, things with such inscriptions are worn by the son of the Chechen head himself and his entourage.

In Chechen groups on social networks, users criticized the demonstrative support for the distribution of energy drinks in the republic and pointed to contradictions with previous statements, "Kavkazsky Uzel" pointed out. In particular, earlier State Duma deputy Biisultan Khamzaev accused popular bloggers of "hype" on the consequences of flooding in Dagestan and advertising such drinks.

In 2012, Ramzan Kadyrov, citing doctors, said that energy drinks are harmful to health "causing exhaustion, depression or uncontrolled aggression." "And what do we see on store shelves? Beautifully packaged cans containing this poison are openly sold everywhere," he said, calling for a ban on the sale of the product. As a result, such a ban was introduced in Chechnya, but in 2018 it was softened by limiting it to social facilities.
