Lavrov: The West Has Declared War On Russia

The Russian foreign minister said that the Kremlin's cooperation with the West has "gone into oblivion."

The West has declared open war on Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting with the heads of Russian non-profit organizations, RIA Novosti reports.

"At some point in our history, after the creation of the UN, the OSCE and after the disappearance of the Soviet Union, the prospects of coexistence and even cooperation with the West seemed very realistic to us. All this has faded into oblivion. An open war has been declared against us," the diplomat emphasized.

Lavrov said that the Kiev authorities and the Ukrainian state itself are being used as a geopolitical battering ram.
