The dictator was accompanied by reinforced security on his trip to the Ukrainian border.
During his working trip through Gomel region, Alexander Lukashenko could spend the night at his residence in Lyaskovichi, Petrikov district, under heavy security. Radye Svaboda obtained a satellite image showing his Mi-8 helicopter, two dozen cars, and likely military equipment.
The annual trip to the Chernobyl zone is a rare occasion when this Lukashenko residence, one of seven out-of-town residences known to journalists, is used.
From April 24 to 27, Alexander Lukashenko visited several districts of Gomel Region - Mozyr, Petrikov and Narovlya.
The places where he stayed overnight were not reported by his press service. However, as "Svaboda" found out, at least one stop was made at his residence in the village of Lyaskovichi in Petrikov district. This is evidenced by a satellite image taken by Planet Labs on April 27 at 8:53 a.m.

The image shows a white-colored helicopter standing on a helipad inside the residence and about 20 civilian vehicles of various purposes near one of its entrances. Also in the image can be seen 6 cars that may belong to the military. All of them are khaki-colored and stand apart from the rest. It is impossible to determine the exact type of vehicles due to the quality of the satellite image, but at least three of them look like military trucks.

Svabodze's archival satellite images of the site from previous years show that this is not usually the case here.
From the residence in Lyaskovichi to the Ukrainian border is about 50 kilometers.
After the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022, drones began to be regularly spotted in the sky over various districts of Homel region. As a rule, their flights coincided with massive Russian air attacks on Ukrainian cities. However, the authorities hide timely information about the flights of such drones in the territory of Belarus. This was confirmed by Alexander Lukashenko himself in one of his public speeches.

The fact that Lukashenko could indeed be in the Laskovichi residence on the morning of April 27 (when the satellite image was taken) is confirmed by the reports of his press service. According to them, on April 26, he inspected the dairy complex "Lyaskovichi," and the next day at 10:12 a.m. arrived by helicopter to Narovlya district. There are 86 kilometers between these points.
Lukashenko's residence in Lyaskovichi is one of seven country residences known to independent media that he uses. It is located on the banks of the Pripyat River. In official documents it is called "Delegation Service Complex in the Pripyatsky Nature Protection Park". In turn, the Pripyatsky National Park is directly subordinate to Lukashenko's Department of Affairs.

The last officially known meeting that took place in the Laskovich residence took place more than four years ago, in 2022. Back then, short talks between the Ukrainian and Russian sides took place here at the very beginning of a full-scale war. In 2017, an informal meeting between Lukashenko and then Ukrainian President Peter Poroshenko was held here.
There is no access for ordinary people to the residence. Alexander Lukashenko uses it only for his almost annual spring trips to the Gomel region.

Three helipads have been built near the residence, and its territory includes a palace building, about six guest houses, another large building in the forest, a sports complex, garages for cars, and several descents to the water. All this is connected by perfect asphalted paths.
"An ordinary wooden house that the peasants built. I still live in this house," Lukashenko said about the residence in 2020.
Svaboda found out that he said this phrase when he was planting trees on the edge of the helipad at the so-called "subbotnik" near the very same residence in Lyaskovichi.

In the same speech, he himself admitted that he had ordered the then director of the Pripyatsky National Park Stepan Bambiza to build this "house".
